When you need to protect the privacy of an email message, encrypt it. Encrypting an email message in Outlook means it’s converted from readable plain text into scrambled cipher text.
Only the recipient can decipher and read the message.

It’s very simple to send an encrypted email;

Sending an encrypted single message:
  1. In the subject line message that you’re composing, simply type securemail as the 1st word on the subject line, then type the rest of your subject line.

2. Compose the rest of your message, and then click Send. It’s just that simple.
