One Two Three RVU may provide an electric charging station as an additional campus amenity for employees and students. Stations are available to RVU employees and students with valid, registered RVU parking privileges, with the appropriate displayed parking sticker and an acknowledged EV station usage waiver. Parking in an EV space when not charging is prohibited. Charging an EV vehicle at Rocky Vista University is available on a first-come, first-served basis. RVU does not guarantee that a charging station will be available for participants’ use. Spaces are available 24 hours a day to those who have a vehicle registered with RVU. Parking in EV charging stations is restricted to those who are plugged in for charging. All employee and students’ vehicles parked on campus must display an RVU issued parking sticker prior to using the EV charging stations. Vehicles can occupy these spaces for a maximum of 4 hours of charging time Vehicle owners should move their vehicle once the four-hour charging time is complete. When charging is complete, users should wind the charging cord neatly and place it back on the charger. Users should immediately notify RVU security personnel of any damage to the charging station or equipment. EV stations may be closed for maintenance, construction, and special event parking without notice. RVU assumes no responsibility or liability for damage to vehicles using the EV charging stations. EV owner acknowledges and consents, that their vehicle may be unplugged by authorized RVU personnel, when the charging station indicates their vehicle is fully charged or may disconnect a vehicle at any time for reasons of safety or for policy violations. Non-compliance of this policy will be subject to a parking citation by RVU Public Safety.
