Rocky Vista University Honor Code

You must agree to the following rules before beginning your exam.

  • You are prohibited from having any electronic devices of any kind, other than your required laptop, its charger,and a mouse, on your desk surface or on your person. It is your responsibility to bring your properly maintained laptop and its charger to the exam.
  • No backpacks, watches, laptop cases, cell phones, gum, food, headphones/earbuds, clear water bottles with labels, or hats/hoods are permitted. You are allowed to have a beverage, ear plugs, and a writing implement(s). All items are subject to proctor inspection.
  • NO talking is permitted once you enter the testing site.
  • You may use your laptop for ExamSoft/Examplify only inside the auditorium.
  • You will be provided with onecolored piece of scratch paper for each exam. You may not write on this paper until the exam starts. You must turn it in to a proctor before you leave.
  • You must have the Examplify application on your laptop and the exam downloaded by 30 minutes before exam time.
  • You must arrive 10 minutes early and pat your pockets down/turn them out to show proctors that you have no prohibited items on your person. You must wear your student ID to every exam.
  • If you begin your exam late for any reason in your control, including failure to have the exam downloaded upon arrival, the time will be deducted from your exam.
  • You will notlose time if you start late because of technical problems outside your control. Alert a proctor if you are having trouble.
  • Keep your eyes on your own screen. Proctors may ask a student to relocate at any time during an exam, as the Proctor deems necessary.
  • Once an examination begins, no clarification questions can be answered. Answer all test questions to the best of your ability.
  • If you need to use the restroom, raise your hand and wait for a proctor to acknowledge you. The proctor will place a privacy screen over your laptop and escort you to the restroom. Only one student is allowed out of the testing site at a time.
  • Once you have completed your exam, show the proctor the green checkmark screen that indicates you have uploaded. Do not leave the auditorium without showing the green screen to a proctor.
  • If you finish the exam early, do not gather in groups in proximity to the exam area. Do not disturb your fellow students who are still taking the exam.
  • A proctor will announce when exam time is half over and when five minutes remain. Examplify also indicates how much time has elapsed.
  • When time is called, exit the exam immediately, even if Examplify indicates you have time remaining because you started the exam late. Proctors will enforce this. Exceptions noted above.
